Ahead of the formal opening next month, Stephen Phillips MP got a sneak preview of the nearly-completed community facilities at The Venue @ Navenby this weekend. Constructed by local firm Beckside Buildings to their own design, the new facility will house the local Contact Point for villages along the cliff, as well as providing a new pre-school, extensive facilities for football clubs, and some of the best function spaces of any community in Lincolnshire, if not the UK. Speaking as he toured the project, Stephen said, "I want to pay a huge tribute to all of those, led by Malcolm Smith and the Parish Council, who have made this fabulous dream a reality for the community in and around Navenby. Calling it a 'Village Hall' or 'Community Centre' just doesn't do justice to what the team have created. It's a real pleasure to see just what everyone's fundraising and hard work has achieved." The Venue already has bookings for the next 18 months. Funding was provided by the village, sporting organisations and local and national government.
Welcome, and thanks for visiting my website. On 6th May 2010, I was elected by an overwhelming majority of more than 50% of voters as the Member of Parliament for the Sleaford and North Hykeham Constituency. It's a great honour to have this responsibility of fighting for this beautiful part of Lincolnshire and I hope that my website will answer any questions you have. You'll find some information about me, about what I and my party stand for and about how to get in touch. Please don't hesitate to do so: what matters to you matters to me. I'm passionately committed to serving the interests of all of our community as best as I can.
