Pupils elected to their school council from all year groups at South Hykeham Primary School recently got to quiz local MP Stephen Phillips on the Government's record and what he gets out of being our MP. Following an assembly at which Stephen presented merit certificates to those with significant achievements over the last term, Stephen had his very own PMQ experience with the school council, who took him to task on what he thought his best and worst moments in politics had been so far, whether he was friends with the Prime Minister and what he was doing for young people in Lincolnshire. Speaking after the session was over, Stephen said, "I was quite flustered by some of the questions I was asked, which were all excellent. There are some budding opposition leaders at South Hykeham Primary School, although I hope that it is some years before I have to face them across a despatch box."

Welcome, and thanks for visiting my website. On 6th May 2010, I was elected by an overwhelming majority of more than 50% of voters as the Member of Parliament for the Sleaford and North Hykeham Constituency. It's a great honour to have this responsibility of fighting for this beautiful part of Lincolnshire and I hope that my website will answer any questions you have. You'll find some information about me, about what I and my party stand for and about how to get in touch. Please don't hesitate to do so: what matters to you matters to me. I'm passionately committed to serving the interests of all of our community as best as I can.
