Billinghay Swimming Pool

Stephen Phillips QC MP formally opened the newly refurbished community swimming pool at Billinghay last weekend. Serving the village and the surrounding district for 40 years and providing a fabulous resource for children and adults, particularly during the summer holidays, the pool continues to be run as a charity by volunteers in the same way that it has for the last four decades. Thanking the volunteers and everyone for their efforts, Stephen said, "It's projects like this across the constituency which highlight the fabulous spirit we have here in Lincolnshire to do the best for our communities. This is a marvellous pool, run by local people for local people, and I am enormously proud to have been asked to re-open it and to wish everyone another 40 years of success." Stephen is pictured with some of the members, volunteers and lifeguards who keep the pool open, including Mrs Mary Bailey whose late husband, Jim, dug the pool out and was the first in it four decades ago!

Welcome

Welcome, and thanks for visiting my website.  On 6th May 2010, I was elected by an overwhelming majority of more than 50% of voters as the Member of Parliament for the Sleaford and North Hykeham Constituency.  It's a great honour to have this responsibility of fighting for this beautiful part of Lincolnshire and I hope that my website will answer any questions you have.  You'll find some information about me, about what I and my party stand for and about how to get in touch.  Please don't hesitate to do so: what matters to you matters to me.  I'm passionately committed to serving the interests of all of our community as best as I can.
